The fundamental question is, Are we going to dig up all of the fossil fuels and burn them or not.  All of the other questions about carbon policy are secondary.

How to stop hiccuping

If you want to stop hiccuping, just concentrate on not hiccuping for 2 minutes.  If you can keep yourself from hiccuping for two minutes, you will be unlikely to start hiccuping again once you stop concentrating on it.

Cigarette packs of 20

It is rediculous that cigaretes can only be sold in packs of 20.  I believe that this cause more addicts and cigarrete smoking.  If it didn't, then the tobacco comp naies would be fighting it.  Smoking 10 cigarettes a day for 2 days could turn anyone into a nicafiend.

Washing your recycling

Do not waste water, heat and cleaning product reources by thoughly washing your recycling.  Just physically remove non-recycable stuff (food, etc.) from the recycling, maybe give it a very quick rinse, and then recycle. 

the obesity epidemic

perhaps the obesity epidemic is the result of a multi-generational epigenetic process.  maybe the abundance of food since the industrial revoutation has caused obesitiy to increase in a process that requires multiple genreations of food abundance to come to full affect.
